M1008 Rubber Fuel Hoses Sizes Lengths and Clear Poly Replacement

Thanks guys! I'll take this as a reminder I should take a flashlight and give a good look next time I'm under the truck. Ackevor, I'm glad the itemized list has been useful. If you'de like, let me know if I have the measurements [which I marked with a ***] correct. Then I can update my original...

M1008 Rubber Fuel Hoses Sizes Lengths and Clear Poly Replacement

Updated my post thanks to your expert advice. How would you suggest I proceed? - use my amateur mig-welding skills to fill in the holes (the holes I made are just big enough for a 3/8" extension) - chamfer the holes nicely and keep an eye out for cracks in the future - get an expert to weld...

M1008 Fuel tank 'drain' tube? What about a fuel tank air pressure bleeder?

There are three tubes on the M1008 fuel sender: Fuel out to the engine (duh), fuel return (semi-duh), and the mysterious 'drain' (huh). What's the drain for? How does it work? It's just a short tube that goes a few inches and then terminates with a 'CAP' as per the TM -20P. (Section II, Figure...

M1008 Rubber Fuel Hoses Sizes Lengths and Clear Poly Replacement

I wanted new (leak-free) clear (debuggable) flexible fuel hoses (or tubes, or even lines if, like me, you didn't know lines are the hard steel ones) in my M1008 and here's what I ended up using: NEW TUBING: I ordered McMaster Carr's Abrasion-Resistant Polyurethane Tubing for Fuels (McMaster...

    cucv m1008 high/low beam momentary?

CORRECTION I just got a new switch from LMC and it also has no momentary function. Also, a friend with an '86 K20 has no momentary. I'm beginning to think these trucks never had momentary. Anyone know if there is a newer chevy or some other car with a switch I could hack in?

    cucv m1008 high/low beam momentary?

Guys and Gals, I have a silly question. Keep in mind I'm 28 so, sadly, I never got a chance to drive a 73-87 chevy when they were new + working properly. I'm trying to decide if my high/low beam switch is broken It's relatively hard to pull the wand into the high-beam mode There's a lot of...

    24V and/or 6000K headlights?

Apologies if it's been asked before but I can't find it from searching. I just broke a headlight just trying to pull the plug off the back! Needless to say I'm looking for a new pair of headlights Wishfully, I'd like the following (yes, some of these desires might conflict Legal (more...

m1008 hydroboost brake + p/s power steering hydralic lines part numbers

Hopefully this helps someone in the future (maybe even me!) I recently replaced my 1985 chevy k30 m1008 hydraulic lines / hoses. We're talking about the hoses that go from the power steering pump to the hydro-boost brake master cylinder on the firewall, from the hydro-boost to the steering box...

Transport me and a friend around Anchorage, AK (sightseeing)

My friend Matt and I just bought some plane tickets to Anchorage, AK on a whim and we're looking for things to do. Does anyone want to do some sighseeing with us? A chance to do some offroading or just learning about the people and the area would be great. We'll be there just this weekend (Dec...
