I just saved a few retired military trucks from the scrap heap. Here is the first one of those to arrive. I will wait until Spring then evaluate them to see what to fix and what to dismantle for parts.
Sorry I haven't been following up here... In winter prep mode.
Look for Lempster NH, Rt 10, then follow Olds Rd to where it goes into the woods. At the very end, at the top of the mountain there is a house. thats it.
You can see it here...
About 5 miles from my house is an early 50s M211. It belongs to an older man who used it to go back and forth to his off the grid mountain camp. He is now too old to use the cabin and the deuce has been sitting.
Because I am known around here for my collection of retired military trucks it has...

OUCH! Unless you know something about that truck I don't, I disagree. Then again perhaps you're the previous owner from VA that owned it ten years ago and know something I dont :)
From what I have determined the truck needs: 11 new tires, seats (I do that myself and its cheap), all the glass...
I spent a few hours with the pressure washer today. The truck cleaned up nicely but I am still unsure if it would be worth the money to bring it back to nice. here are some pictures...
I just purchased a 1965 M123, v8 cimmins diesel that at some point had the 5th wheel removed and was converted to a forestry truck. So far all I have done is removed the tank and got rid of the awful firetruck red that faded to pink over time. I thought I might share it here as I have never seen...
