Empty trailer - Tampa, FL to Macon, GA on Feb 12th

Looks like I will be making a trip to Macon, GA, on the 12th of February to get a new toy. I will be going up I-75 all the way from Tampa, FL. My drop deck trailer will be empty on the trip up. If anyone needs something hauled up from Florida to any place along the route let me know. Ruppster

Just wanted to pass on to the SS members located in the central part of Florida that we will be holding an initial meeting to establish a Florida chapter of the Antique Truck Historical Society on the 22nd of January, 2011. Got a new toy - USMC KLR250 (almost a M1030)

Finally found a military vehicle I can afford. It's a 1986 KLR250 motorcycle built for the Marines. This is the early version from the 80's. The military bought a second batch of these bikes in 1991 and called them M1030's. There is little difference between the two bikes as very little changed...

Anyone in central Florida have a trailer to haul a truck on I could borrow?

I have a tandem axle semi truck that has a fifth wheel, pintle hitch, and 2 inch receiver mount. What I need is a trailer to haul a 12,000 pound truck. Something with ramps that would let a vehicle be driven on to the trailer. Don't care if it's a drop deck or a heavy duty equipment trailer...

Bobbing an M35 in miniature (1/35th scale model)

Finally started working an bobbing a 1/35th scale M35A1 plastic kit the other day. The first picture shows the rear axle and rim. To simulate the flange that the rear rim would bolt to after the hubs were flipped I cut the middle section out on a couple of the spare rims. The second image shows...

M105A2C vacuum for brakes? Towing vehicle question too.

There is an M105A2C trailer coming up on GL and I've never seen one with the "C" at the end of the model number. So while reading the TM for it I see that the "C" means it has a vacuum connection for the braking system. Why was vacuum used instead of air pressure? Also, what vehicle would have...

Some engine questions for you guys restoring V100/V150's

IIRC the stock engine in the V100 is the Dodge industrial 361 V8. My first question is do they have a 2 barrel or 4 barrel carb? Second, does the carb have a governor under it? For those that are going with another engine does anyone have distributor from a 361 that they want to sell? If so is...
