    Battery's for 003

I understand. I tried deleting but couldn't figure out how. The other post has a apology for posting twice in it and thanks for the response.

    Battery's for 003

My batteries on the 003 have been giving me problems so I am going to replace them. Right now it has Group 34 C's on it. Rural King has Group 31's on sale right now for $59.99. Looks like they should work fine? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Started my 003 for the first time since January

You are the winner! P62C16 & P61F16 were reversed. When it became clear the there should be no voltage on the aux pump when in the run position and I had it that was a give away. A few posts back I had mentioned it would run fine it I put it in the Prime Run AUX position. The thing that is...

What about in "prime-run"? Are they all to be powered then also?

So I understand. You're saying the pump (wire) that has no voltage in the prime/run position may have in the prime/run/aux position?

87Nassaublue. The ground seems to be fine and I did try tapping on it but that didn't start it. I did not check resistance Jim. I put the wire that has voltage on the pump that I know would run. I disconnected the aux pump and it fired up and ran fine. I reconnected the Aux pump and still runs...

I feel a little silly. Upon further review here are the voltages I have and what is running Aux Pump has 24.7 volts in aux OR run position The pump on the outside of the mount has 24.7 volts but does NOT run The pump on the inside has NO voltage but it will run if I put the wire from the...

I checked and have 24.68 volts at both pumps. One runs and one does not. I assume I'll need a pump? Where is the best place to locate one? Thanks (ETA) I tested the voltage at the plugs before the connection on the back of the mount. I assume it's for grounding and not a fuse of sorts?

Okay! So here is what I found I changed all filters and screens in the pumps. When messing I noticed when I put it on "Prime-Run-Aux" I had fuel pumping but on "Prime-Run" none. None of what I did fixed the problem. It would run for 30-60 seconds and then start sputtering and shut off. After...

My seems to run fine but then runs rough and shuts off. I'm pretty sure it's starved for fuel. If I prime it seems to build some pressure and run for a short time then sputters and shuts down. I had a little white smoke when it first started but it has always done that. Goes away in 15-20...

Started my 003 for the first time since January

I am going out of town for a week and wanted to be sure the wife had back up power so I went out and started the 002. It is the one connected to the house right now. I decided that since neither one had been started since mid January I'd start the 003 as well. I had the batteries topped off on...

    MEP003A Comes Through Again

I've not used the 003 yet this year but I have had the 002 running for two outages. The first was about 16 hours and the second time 5 hours. Not long periods of time but it was cold on both occasions so it was great to have heat and lights. Ran the TV some too  We had gas generator...

Running MEP-OO2A in this blizzard questions

Mine has been run in the rain and snow. I didn't realize I shouldn't be doing that. Does military keep them covered all the time? My 002 just ran for 13 hours two weeks ago and it rained about half of that time. They are stored outside but tarped. Should I be doing something more??

    lttle copper washers

I ordered a 10 pack of them from McMaster when I changed mine. Not sure of the part number. Maybe someone here knows that off the top of their head. I can try looking back but it's been a couple years

Nov 2 2015 state of genset sales

I'm guessing they are hoping people will start thinking that is what they have to pay to get one. A lot of people use no common sense. They are bidding these to crazy prices and still not getting them. Once GL figures out where they can set these reserves and sell the majority that is what will...

    Glow plugs 002 and 003

I had an 002 a couple years back that had the whole end rusted on one of the glow plugs. No way to use a wrench on it. With the help and advice of this forum I used a 1/4 drill bit, easy out, PB blaster and HEAT. After getting it lose and getting it out the end was swollen badly. I used pliers...

    002 voltage issue

The board in it now is the one I purchased from you a year or so ago. Back then I thought the board was bad but it turned out to be the diodes on the board I think you are talking about. It has 6 diodes?

    002 voltage issue

The drop with the 3500 watt dryer and a couple of lights was on 100 amp wire about 100ft in length to my house from the lugs. That pulled all the way down to 85 volts. The way it is setup I use that same wire to power the garage through a transfer switch. I have no problems running power that...
