    Ram 2500 Tow Tractor

Dear Fellow Members, I have recently purchased a 1990 Dodge Ram 2500 tow tractor from auction. As I am sure many of you know the rear ends in those trucks are geared really low for heavy duty pulling. I like the truck and it has a great powerplant and would like to make it more streetable. Can...

What is the best way to tow a M35A2

Thanks Guys. I was thinking about taking one of my old M35's and removing the bed and installing a 5th wheel and going with a goosneck style trailer. Do you think that would be okay. I have heard guys talking about using one M35 to tow another with a tow bar. Is that safe, does the vehicle...

    winch disassembly

I have decided to freshen up my winch and have reached a snag. It is just about completely disassembled. I am having trouble figuring out how the spool and shaft come out of the housing. The worm gear is out yet can't get the bull gear off or the shaft that its attached to out. Any advice...

    Front axle not engaging

Another problem was noticed today going up a hill. I could not make it up. The front axle was not engaging. The air switch on the dash was indeed engaged. Could it be a bad switch not delivering enough air to the transfer case. I did upgrade to an after market switch. Any ideas. Real...

    winch noise

I went to use the winch today for an emergency and it started off well until an abnormal winch noise began. The winch engages and turns fine yet when under strain it starts to grind, clunk, rumble and vibrate. The noise is comming from the winch housing up front, not the transfer case. Please...

In Need of Help! Brake booster lines

Guys I could really use some help still. It is not the sprags. I jacked the front up just to make sure. Airpac lines are all plumbed up right. I then thought it might be because I used a remote resevoir yet I made sure mine was vented. So where does the leave me. Did I rebuild the air...

In Need of Help! Brake booster lines

Thanks for the info about the sprags. I think it was a combination between the sprags and the booster hooked up wrong. So all I have to do is jack the front end up and it will release the tension and the wheels will spin free? Do you happen to be familar with the brake booster lines? Seth

In Need of Help! Brake booster lines

Guys went out again and completely disconnected the main air line from the booster. It seemed to work and I was able to take a drive around the block, yet barely had any brakes. Do you think if I had the main air source comming into the brake booster in a wrong port it would do this. This was...

In Need of Help! Brake booster lines

Emergency brake is off, atleast the handle is down. I had replaced the emergency brake pads as well. The back tires seem to be turning fine, yet maybe the e-brake is dragging a little bit. I just went out there and backed the pads all the way off the drums and still nothing. Maybe the next...

In Need of Help! Brake booster lines

Dear Fellow Members. I attempted to move my m35a2 out of the driveway after sitting for about 6 months. In this six months I have been working on converting it to a 4x4. It started up fine yet when I tried to put it in gear it could barely get out of its own way. It seems like the front...

    M35A2 Dot 3 Brake Fluid?

I actually found my brake pads on ebay. There is a seller that is on there all the time, his prices were the best. Just do a search for m35 brake. Dont add the a2, it will limit the search result. I live by TNJ Murray. Their prices are fare, yet their service is unbeatable. They have never let...
