5T differential housings: cast or forged?

I've got a friend who build a mud truck out of a Dodge diesel and put 5T axles under it. He and others have welded recovery points (loops) to the differential housings. I was under the impression that these were cast, but he doesn't think so. Anybody know for sure? -WRM

    M35A2 steering arm

Can anyone tell me whether the steering arm (mounted on the knuckle) is forged or cast? -WRM

removing the steering arm: remove wheel/tire too?

I found the section in the manual (TM 9-2320-361-34, page 10-36) that details how to remove the steering arm (from the knuckle), but it doesn't say if I need to remove the wheel and tire. Can I just remove the arm while with the truck sitting normally (on all fours)? I know that this is a...

need an "MRAP" valve stem replacement

I purchased some MRAP-style replacement wheels for my project ( My Bobber Thread ) and I'm just now getting around to working on them. I broke an o-ring, but I believe I've got that handled (won't really know until I can air them up). Now, I'm having issues with the valve stems. A large bore...

Tires, Wheels, Misc - Alpha Tread in Tucson, AZ

I mentioned these guys in my build thread, but thought I'd post it here for more exposure. I also believe that they recently joined the forum (vendor?). Anyway, I was needing some tires for my project and found some of their items for sale on eBay and saw that weren't too far from me, so I...

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

Be forewarned; I’m long-winded at times and generally post a lot of pics… So, if you’d rather skip through just to look at the pics I won’t hold it against you… Also, some people think build threads are boring since there’s usually quite a gap in posting because, well, “life happens.” That’s...

won some wheels/tires on GL; tell me I didn't screw up...

What a way to start my first real post...lol. In a sort of knee-jerk action, I bid on (and won) 6 of these wheels/tires from a GL auction moments ago. I didn't do enough research ahead of time and I was hoping that a member here could tell me if I can mount these on my stock deuce ('65 M109A3...

Hello MV world! Newbie in AZ

After years of secret (and some not-so-secret) lusting over MV's, it looks like I'll finally have one of my own in a few days. More details to follow after the purchase is complete, but I'm getting a M109A3. I'm no stranger to forums and bulletin boards, so you shouldn't need to scold me about...
