So attached are photos of the bits that I have to make 2 wheels. See anything wrong here? Will everything work together? Any chance I can get some advice as to how to put this all together? Called my local commercial tire centers (big truck places too) "don't do run flats for humvees". Gee...
Ok, so searching didn't help (maybe I missed it?) but I need an actual diagram to do these vacuum / vent lines properly. A cartoon drawing just isn't cutting it. Help?
Thanks!
Anyone else have water intrusion into to the passenger front left side insulation? It's like a water bladder at the bottom. I removed it, turned it upside down and found the only holes were at the top. Bizarro.
I've had an x-door delivered to me with the left side hinges cobbled and spaced inside out on the right side front door. Well that doesn't work. Looks ok until you mount it, but no go. I need to find the part numbers for the hinge so I can search and get the correct hinges coming. Any...
Greetings,
I'm soliciting any and all suggestions for what you'd replace a stock transmission in a M1009 with.
Thanks much,
Den
PS - My trans is fine - Just thinking of a better suited trans for highway, etc.
It appears that my new harness from the junction (wiring already on the trailer) to the vehicle is not an exact fit. Some of the numbers on the little aluminum tags do match, but not all of them.
Where can I find a proper wiring harness graphic so I can get to making this work?
Thanks!
In an effort to keep the M1009 bone stock original, I have replaced the washer pump / wiper motor assembly with an LMC rebuilt unit (the only thing not working was the washer pump). I installed the rebuilt unit and attached the ground strap (that wasn't with the rebuilt unit) and tried it. The...
A friend has asked me to check out his '85 M1009, 26,000 miles, all new filters and oil, transmission serviced and fluid / level good. During acceleration through 2nd gear, the engine output drops to about half as the limited acceleration continues. First gear, no problem - good power...
So I have these tires sitting around that are 275/65/R18 Mud-Terrains and thought that it would be nice to be able to throw them on the Blazer from time to time for various adventures. The problem is finding a basic black steel/alloy wheel that is made for this truck in an 18".
Any thoughts or...
So pleased with this configuration. The M1009 is a real pleasure to use as a plow. Photo is during the clearing of the runway in Maryland. Some tweaks left to do, but very satisfied!
Westbound lane just before 450 exit.
Engine faded about 5 miles ago after tank switch. Switched
Back for two miles and continued to fade. Won't restart.
If you can help, please call with ideas. Thanks much!

Greetings,
Just found a complete Meyer plow for my CUCV M1009 and I'm looking for some detailed photos of the installation. Can anyone supply them? This plow is a 7' Meyer from about the mid-80's and is not an EZ-Classic tubular type.
Thanks much!

Can anyone help with finding the procedure? Apparently it's not that straight-forward. Already searched the threads for key words but nothing specifically about brake bleeding.
Thanks!
I'm currently searching for a set of 15" wheels for my M1009 as I have put my winter tires (Firestone Winterforce) on my factory wheels. I have a like-new set of BFG A/T's needing a new home some summer. Prefer steel, factory look, in black. Help?
Greetings CUCV owners,
So when I start my M1009, there is a relay that clunks on when the key is first twisted. The voltage drops and the glow plugs do their magic. I start the truck after the wait light goes out and, while running, there is another clunk, then off, then clunk, then off...
I've been hunting high and low for a comprehensive source of information regarding stencil/marking locations via search, TM's, and Google, and was hoping this thread might become that source. The old site is down, but I did find a TM regarding markings on another site. Unfortunately it didn't...
I've been searching the threads and can't seem to find the right one listing the brake parts for the M1009. I've seen it, but can't find it now. A little help? Thanks much!
