Intake/exhaust port CFM flow? Porting the heads? Tech babble.

Hmmm? I thought I have read on here the LDT is 138hp and the LDS was 210.

Intake/exhaust port CFM flow? Porting the heads? Tech babble.

Maybe I'll just buy a used LDS for $2500. I mean where else can you free up 80hp from a LDT and still keep it multifuel. Just buy an LDS and throw it in. Done

Intake/exhaust port CFM flow? Porting the heads? Tech babble.

But how would lowering compression affect the multifuels ability to burn waste oil and other readily available combustibles? If I lost the multifuel ability then tweaking the LD/LDT is an exercise in futility. Just buy a Cummins and be done with it but not desireable. It has to be a balance of...

Tell that to my 81 Rabbit Diesel. That thing will wind up.

Intake/exhaust port CFM flow? Porting the heads? Tech babble.

Maybe it has been covered in another thread or maybe one of the factory turbo's are already the variable pitch kind but what about a Variable Nozzel Turbo (VNT)? Blades pitch more at lower RPM's to produce more boost. Waiting for the turbo to spool takes less time at those lower RPM's. I put one...

Intake/exhaust port CFM flow? Porting the heads? Tech babble.

To me porting/polishing/extrudehone would be a modest "refinement" of the engine but I am no engine builder so when I hear cam or changing cam profiles seems like pretty advanced stuff to me. I could swap a head out and or drop in roller lifters no problem though. As for the cam. What would...

    Dual Circuit Brake Engineering Thread

Anybody ever give up a spare bracket to have re-popped by Blackrock Fab? Interesting thread. I used to upgrade my old VW Buses to dual circuit MC's but they are a different animal altogether. In the Deuce having the backup circuit seems a very important upgrade and one that I will definitely...

Looks like it http://www.extrudehoneafm.com/ Originally designed for use on spacecraft from what I read.

Intake/exhaust port CFM flow? Porting the heads? Tech babble.

Agreed. I have little interest in hot rodding. Efficiency and longevity however is what I am interested in. I have two diesels and a multifuel. All the work and add ons are driven by the aforementioned. Lets call it an engines Feng Shui or homeostasis. Everything in balance Porting and...

Did anybody ever bench flow their heads before and after porting/polishing? If so what were the results?

    SF-97, *exactly* what is it?

Ahhhh! Kinda like a DD1289. That is the form number for the doctors prescription pad. Hence a controlled item.

    SF-97, *exactly* what is it?

If the form did exist it must have been superceded by another number form. GSA website has all the forms and is usually pretty good about telling you when queried if the form is obsolete.

    SF-97, *exactly* what is it?

How come there is no SF 97 listed in the great big book of Standard Forms? https://www.opm.gov/forms/standard-forms/ http://www.gsa.gov/portal/forms/type/SF Dosen't even come up in the obsolete forms. Also, I recently bouhgt a deuce that was never registered and has been through three onwers...

    Green Horn

I have used Blackstone Labs before for oil analysis. Used to get it done on my Land Rover Defender 110 (Non-Military type). Maybe you guys can tell me but the seller I got the truck from showed me a triangular shaped tag riveted just inside the drivers door and he said it was when the truck went...

ALCON, New to the site. Just bought a 1970 Bobbed Deuce with a Herculese engine (non-turbo). Seems to run well and the bob job is very professional. Still have some things to tidy up though (wiring taillights). Guess the previous owner got tired of it. I am out in Jamul, California...
