Dead Batteries is pretty normal, right? How long does an M35 have to sit for them do die? Sounds Like I'll add multimeter and a wiring kit to my pickup toolkit.

Thanks for the info BBBC! It had a winch and a spare which were two absolute necessities (aside from a solid running vehicle). Aside from battery and chewed wires (from nesting packrats), what could the electrical issue be? Was it the GL guy at Kirtland? -JP

    New Deuce

Forgot about that! Thanks for the link to the pickup checklists. I have alot of reading to do...and alot of time to do it. Here's a question for you that isn't clear from what I can see on the GL site: Is the invoice not generated until the EUC has been cleared, or is payment expected up...

    New Deuce

When the time comes, aside from a pair of deep cycle 12V batteries what other items should I bring in my toolkit when I go to pick her up? She'll only need to make a 50-mile trip, on a rural highway (NM-14). I can probably look closer at anything needing closer-looking this weekend.

    New Deuce

Did you get a good look at that one? Yeah, I saw the auction 6 weeks ago--but I had not yet committed to buying one. I understand they are in large batches during Nov/Dec. Since I need it by summer, it's a cost I'll have to swallow--good on those who got them in November though! As for...

SS Member, I just signed on today. If all goes well with SF97 and EUC forms, I will soon be the owner of a 1970 Kaiser M35A2. I'm currently living in Santa Fe County, but will soon be moving up to Gunnison County CO. It looks like there's more info on this site than I could read in a...

    New Deuce

Thanks! it was lot 7650. It looked like the one in the most ready-to-go condition. Being a navy reservist makes it easy to get on base to look at them. I was checking one out at KAFB over the summer. However, being the only one up for auction at that time, she was the belle of the...

    New Deuce

Sure did. I plan on sharing the process as it progresses. Hopefully the loadout is easy, but I'm comfortable with towing as well (I live in Santa Fe County). It looks like they have alot of trucks there. I figured I'd get one this go-round since I will need it by July-August. -JP

    New Deuce

Congratulations to you too! It looks like you have a few already. If you don't mind, I have a few quesitons: 1. Have you been through this process before with GL? 2. Is the invoice sent & paid after the EUC application has been approved? 3. Does GL send an SF97 or does the buyer...

    New Deuce

Hello Everyone, I just picked up a Deuce off a GL auction and was wondering who out there has gone through this process? Aside from the EUC and following steps, anything I need to keep in mind as I get it registered and titled as a civilian vehicle? I've been looking for a while for off-road...
