Rear main seal replaced - leaking BAD!

My guess would be...the use of the putty is the cause of the failure. Use fine emory cloth to polish the crank.

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

That is my whole point here. That is the safe way to assemble the wheel.

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

You are correct! Ok, now do the math on the "hammer effect" of the lateral movement with the tolerances listed on the 6 axle lugs.

    HEMTT wheel adaptor plates

I designed and built this same conversion over a year ago. I do not have my exact figures in front of me. I do remember, the wheels at my shop having almost a 1/4 inch of possible misalignment. Not exactly 1/4 but very close. You have to add the possible misalignment of the back plate to the...

    Deuces hard on asphalt?

My deuce leaves black marks on my brothers concrete driveway everytime I visit. :D

    account suspended?

A bid on an auction is a legal bound contract. If you attempt to have your bid retracted, you are a irresponsible bidder. An irresponsible bidder in someone that does not follow through on a contract. Auction companies do not have to retract your bid. If they did, they retracted your bid at...

    Had a interesting visitor

I have heard similar stories while I have been out-n-about in my truck. I have noticed, these trucks bring back so many memories for some. Luckily, all of my encounters have been very positive. I love putting a smile on peoples faces! Philip

Questions about insuring a 1987 AM General (Harder to get insured)

I had Gulfway send me a policy. It is strictly exhibit insurance. It doesn't cover anything. It is full of restrictions. Read the policy before you purchase.

    East Coast Deuce Bobbing???

I live in the Athens, Ga. area. I have modified most everything I have owned and the property of everybody around me. If you can think of it, I can build it. I am a perfectionist. I have a very long list of completed projects. Many of them are 6 figure. A couple in magazines and and TV...

Using deuce wheel centers in other rims?

The center of a deuce wheel is 1/2 inch plate.

running a multi (LDT) w/o fan and or radiator

Unless you truck is different than mine, my radiator installs with two bolts, two nuts with a spring, and two hose clamps. I am with Doghead on this one. Use a flashlight. This emergency is not worth potentially damaging your engine.

    Diesel leaking on turbo??

Mine did the same thing last summer. I just capped off the two fuel lines. They are going to stay capped off. A fuel leak on the turbo is an accident waiting to happen.
