    CTIS Parts

I would like to get 2 new and 2 used please. I would like to get the whole assembly from the banjo valve to the kneeling valve, but that is not critical. I would also like the o rings in that assembly plus possibly the inline filters.

Wheel valve was the issue Thank you. I attempted to remove the wheel valve cover and service the valve , but unfortunately all four of the bolts snapped due to corrosion. We then put on the spare on, and all is well, so the problem was, in fact, a failed wheel valve. The CTIS module in the...

    CTIS Parts

Thank you. I will start with the wheel valve. I could not find anything in the manuals about servicing the wheel valves other than "replace". Is there a temp fix (isolation) to a wheel valve failure other then a tire change?

    CTIS Parts

I am afraid that may be the case. The floor was so rotted that the accelerator pedal fell off. Is the wheel valve a check valve? Where is the valve that holds pressure? Is it all the way in the front at the manifold?

This LMTV came from Fort Drum and corrosion from salt is significant on some components.

If the wheel valve does need parts, would they be commercially available? Also, what does the kneeling valve do?

Regardless if the truck is running or not, air will dump from the left rear tire out of the vent on the quick valve on the rear axle. I have soaped the tire and hose fittings and I find only a modest leak around both wheel valves. I can keep ahead of the leak in the Run Flat setting, but the...

    CTIS Parts

I have a flashing 4 lights on the CTIS modual and the left rear tire dumps air from the air discharge on the quick valve. I have some seepage from other locations in the wheel but nothing like the dump from the vent.

    CTIS Parts

Hello Sir,My LMTV is down. Do you know what type of fitting the air (CTIS) system uses? I have what I think is a failed diaphragm on a rear axle quick valve. I wanted to cap the lines to isolate the tires, then cap the quick valve to see if I could repair or find a replacement for it. The...

    Disable the CTIS?

Greetings. My LMTV has a discharging rear tire and I suspect the right rear wheel manifold valve (bubbling). Until I can get my head around the CTIS and find parts (preformed packing kits), I am consider disabling the CTIS. I am not finding any system disabling or partial disabling...

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

You are doing great work! I have not yet started my frame mount, but I have the Fisher 9'6" V plow. I am looking forward to seeing your progress.

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

Thank you for the post. I am concerned about the wear and tear. I bought this machine with the intention of working it. I know that if I get a major failure I could be SOL. I am going to see how far I can go with it. Perhaps I'll start looking for a parts machine. I would be using this plow...

Load rating for 1078 front and rear axles?

I see the -10 is the Operators Manual. I am not sure if I divide the GVW by 2 for the front axle rating. Would you know where to look for the weight of the cab after up armoring? Do they need to add a leaf spring to the pack? All it says about the axle is Manufacturer (Rockwell). I will try...

Load rating for 1078 front and rear axles?

Thanks Ron. What is the "-10". Is that a section in the technical manuals? The plow installer wants to know the axle ratings and the GVW in order to size the plow. Once I pick the plow, then I can pick the PTO pump that I am going to mount to the blank on the Allison MD3070P.

Load rating for 1078 front and rear axles?

I am trying to spec a large plow for the LMTV 1078. Does anyone know the axle rating of a 96' 1078?

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

Thank you. How does the winch pump that is mounted to the transmission lock in to neutral when you engage the PTO? If I use that free slot, does the transmission also need to be in Neutral in order to run a different PTO pump? I am hoping I can avoid an electric over hydraulic pump.

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

Hello Mike, I am looking in to a few different plows. HLA Snow, Cotech, Metal Pless, in particular. All Canadian. I am gunning for an Agricultural style European mount (see HLA and Cotech) That way, I could more readily swap plows with vehicles other than trucks and allow for a huge range...

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

Hello Gentlemen, I am the proud owner of a LMTV 1078 from Fort Drum. I have downloaded all of the manuals(thank you bikeman), made payment, arranging transport, and looking heavily into snow plows. First thing first; how hard is it to get a 1078 registered in ny? Does anyone have experience...

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

The pusher boxes have more carry as opposed to a angle plow which is more for widening. My plan is to mount an agricultural mount and plow to the 1078. I need to figure out where an additional PTO pump can go, and how to run some 12v controls off of the 24v. "Nothing in the world is worth...

Mounting a snow plow on a LMTV 1078 First Post

Thank you for the help. My hope is to run an expandable pusher box off of the trucks hydraulics with an added valve. If the flow is not sufficient, I would try to mount an additional PTO pump with an open circuit and control valve to hoist and control the plow. My initial concerns are: 1)...
