Hi, just picked up a mtv. 3116 cat. it cranks and will kind of start after pumping the hand primer. Then I have to pump the hand primer again. I don't see any leaks in the system but seems like air is getting in some how. Any thoughts? Thanks, adam

  So I figured out what I was doing wrong. I finally checked the hertz with a real gauge and I was getting around 75 at full throttle. Seemed like I had to back the throttle down quit a bit to get down to 63 H or so. To bad there's no tack.

you can use it on the phase only running 2 hots not 3 hots. Thats the same as 1 phase.

thats how I have run the bigger units in the past. Just leave one lug blank. It's the same problem on 1 or 3 phase.

yes, getting 248 from the 1 and 3 lug.

I'm getting 125 out of each lug and 215 when I put the 2 lead from the multi meter on the 2 and 3 lug or any of the 2 lugs. I'm also getting 120volt from the out lets in the house and all of the breakers in the panel.

I'm use 6 gauge 3 wire to a 70 amp breaker. I shut the main off not to back feed the line. red and black hot, white and ground to the neutral lug. The other unit work fine hooked up the same way. I can take some pictures.
