I feel stupid posting this...
But I JUST SAW a list of tools and a big thread talking about this back in September/August. Maybe on the G741.org forum? Was some good info in it!

After a lot of thought, I decided to ditch my Braden LU-4 and go with an electric winch. Variety of reasons, mostly cost prohibitive. I got a 12,000 LB Badlands winch for a good deal unopened off craigslist, for the amount I will use it it'll be perfect.
Had a local welding shop (same one who...
Attached are a few more pictures, as promised. This is the truck as it sits this evening. Looking forward very much to seeing how the new passenger seat looks...
I used brush on bed liner and coated in the inside of my glovebox, in the picture you can see the 12 volt outlet I added. I wanted...
Mine was really tight when I first put it on as well...did it for 2nd time today, MUCH easier. Sliding the top through that front channel is the biggest headache I have...,I'm always worried that I will tear or snag the canvas!
I notice the opposite! Seems every guy does a double take when he sees my truck:lol:
Been a little while since I've posted, thank you all for the positive comments.
I will make sure to post some additional pictures tomorrow...I got my newly re-furbished windshield installed today, with NOS...
From what you describe, I believe that you have the CCKW hardtop...I have/had that as well on my M-37. It was an armed forces retrofit for the M-37 due to a shortage of factory hardtops (from what I have read).
I dislike this top...bad sight lines, and makes a lot of noise. But I'm sure there...
Been awhile since the last post! Got the truck back from the body shop. Turned out great...still some things here and there to do (tailgate needs major help), also my new windshield frame is not on the truck yet. Ordered two NOS windshield assemblys from a supplier...one showed up cracked...
Got a couple of pictures today...went up to drop off the new windshield hardware I got from MWM.
The hood and the doors are complete, they came out like glass! Can't wait to see it done.
It actually came with the speedway wiring harness which I installed...just happened to work correctly.
Now that you mention it, I've never actually seen a part # for one, always just looked up a sender for a chrysler 230 and grabbed what they had!
I hope you get better soon! Keeping you in my thoughts
I think I've actually got a line on a good one locally, will be seeing it saturday, but I will keep your offer in mind
Been a little while since my last update! I've been driving her around on weekends, getting a lot of drive time locally. Last week, brought it up to my friend's shop, and the body work has begun!
Tons of holes in the driver's side of the bed, I had him patch them all up except for the antenna...
Took her out 4-wheeling for the first time today, went great! Can't stop smiling. Only issue that arose, was that after going through DEEP water, the fan belt slips and causes the truck temperature to raise up to about 230 from the usual 180. After a 5 minute cool down it goes back to a...
A couple more shots on my M-37 with the new tires. Also added two new red reflectors to the rear tailgate today, it really needed them to brighten up the rear at night time.
The tires are 9.00x16 Power King Super Traction. Very happy with them so far.
Did some testing, confirmed my blower motor...
Definitely something SIMPLE and fuel related then, excellent.
Why would idle make it die, is it because the fuel is interrupted when the vacuum from the motor goes down? I had a similar issue on my M-37, except that had an accelerator pump issue...
