    Master cylinder removal

The TM I'm using 9-819 from 1952 just shows the bracket and cylinder in the open with no help as to how to rotate it. Maybe a different manual or version may have.

    Master cylinder removal

I took all the plugs off , and tried pulling it back into the hole to tilt it down. Or anyway. Bolts were not fun but got them out ok. Just a matter of fractions of an inch. Wouldn't go back quite far enough no matter what I tried. But it's out, maybe the hard way.

    Master cylinder removal

I removed the fitting from the rear, twisted and turned it just wouldn't come out. A matter of 1/4 of an inch. Couldnt lift it or turn it to move it back enough to clear the bracket. So I loosened the bracket 6 bolts and it dropped out.

    Master cylinder removal

While waiting for some engine parts to finish the rebuild of my 1952 OA331 I figured I would go thru the brakes as recommended by many. Have 6 new wheel cylinders and hoses, going to install a new master cylinder but can't seem to get it out. Tech manual says remove bolts and lines and remove...

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

Pistons came out easy. Heads in machine shop, getting it cleaned, checked for cracks, valve job and seals. Cleaned block, looks ok, going to Zyglo the deck. Cam staying I hope. Dial bore gauged cylinders, good. Crank journals checked with mic, good as far as taper or out of round. Just trying to...

Ill send you a msg for the address. Thanks for the info on sources for parts. Between Memphis Equipment, White Owl, Sarafins, I think I have found the parts I need. Got the head in the machine shop and have dropped the pan and pulled Pistons and rods. Might do liners also. Just another day at...

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

I'm thinking I might. Pulled the gasser head, valve stuck and wouldn't free up. Bores look ok, might inframe it if I can get rings and rod bearings . Would a multifuel bolt in? Without major fabrication?

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

Found out a big reason why she won't run, no compression. Finally got spark, points were grounded . Got fuel pump working. Would crank and kinda fire, try to run. So decided to do a compression check. 120 on 1, 0 on 2 and 3, 80 on 4, 120 on 5 and 0 on 6. Have not pulled rocker covers yet. Are...

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

I will check the wires. That would be much appreciated. I'm trying to get familiar with the manuals on this site, trying to figure out where the info is. I seen those in the distributor but wasn't sure on how to test or there function. I did test the points condenser with an analog meter like I...

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

Thanks. I have been looking at them, lots of good info. Still trying to get it to fire. No spark. Coil checks good. Filed the points to clean them up. Maybe it's a cranking speed issue. Seems s bit slow with the batteries I have.

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

Thanks for the good info. There is the one going to ground and 6 other large cables routed into the box . Two go to what appear to be ford style relays/ solonoids on the firewall . Look to be fairly modern, not sure for what they were added.

    1952 ReoM35 gasser electrical question

I just purchased a 52 M35, looks to be pretty nice shape. I ordered a tech manual, waiting for it to arrive. Wondering on battery hookup, is the entire truck 24 volt or just starting system? Lots of cables in battery box but no batteries. I'm new to the 6x6, work on trucks everyday but this is...
