Does anyone know the kit number from Cummins or what to ask for? ......Or the knock of kit from Ebay? I tried using Right stuff gasket maker on the mounting plate and it's leaking from the mounting plate studs (17) on attached parts breakdown.
I'm looking for Items 12, 13, 14 and 16.
Thanks
I recently installed the Inova Hightech autostart kit to our MEP-802A. It works for the MEP 002/003's and MEP 802/803's. I'm far from an electronics expert, but I was able to successfully install this kit with the manual and several phone calls to clear up my questions. It works great. Here is a...
I just wanted to report in and let you guys know that we have been averaging around 0.45 gallons per hour since we switched over to our MEP-802A. That's using about 4,300 watts on average. That's 1/2 of what a gas generator would use!
This thread has been very helpful when our MEP-802A no fuel fault light came on yesterday morning. I now know i need a dual float Switch liquid level and gasket. I just found one online for $40. Thanks again Steel Soldiers forum!!! I would be lost without you guys.
I hope you get it back up and running Coley. Ours has been a real blessing this summer at our Off Grid home. I installed a 2 wire remote start kit too. Real nice addition!
Cool!! We have a MEP 802A connected to our Off Grid cabin and have been running it daily for the last 2 1/2 weeks at night for charging the battery bank and running all loads in the cabin too! Our longest run so far is about 10 hours, but typically, we usually run it for 5 hours or so a...
I can't seem to find a used coolant recovery tank for my MEP 802A, and I don't want to pay $225 for a new one, if I can help it.
Do you guys think this would work as an alternative for a coolant recovery tank for MEP-802A?
Thanks for any advice.
I ran across a great MEP-802a Fuel Consumption/Load Test video on YouTube.

The name of the YouTube user is Mil Gen. I thought you guys might like it as much as I did.
I would like your opinion on how he connected to the 55 gallon barrel by diverting...
I just discovered a leaking well nut at the bottom drain location on my MEP 802A. Thanks for the information on this thread to help get me on the right track to repair it.
Hello everyone, My wife and I replaced the radiator in our MEP-802A. I put together a video. Maybe it will help someone in the future. Thanks, again to all you who answered our questions and alerted us of parts for sale.

Thanks for the replies and picture. I will be connecting to the house electrical panel with proper grounding. That's why the bonding bar is missing in my picture.
I have been reading all the older forum post about proper grounding. I can't find any examples of my setup. I have a picture attached with my question. I want to make sure where the MEP-802a chassis ground is. I have neutral bonded at the house main electrical panel (non separately derived...
Hey 123mack and Zeus 51. I live in Alabama too. I have a Mep-802A generator. Does your club ever have any generator parts at your meetings with swap sell and trade. I would like to attend one of your events regardless....just to see all the cool military vehicles that I can't afford.
