    Ground Up Build Begins

I've already torn the springs down blasted and painted. The springs I have only had 17k miles on them. I very likely will lift the truck a little once I'm done so at that time I will reevaluate the springs. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Ground Up Build Begins

I picked up a really clean M1008 frame. Stripped it down, blasted it and a set of axles that I have, and the build begins.

I did delete the 2 piece connection at the IP. Next will be an oil change. Also install passenger side door and...

    Help with wiring

Thank you both for all the help. I know the 2 piece vacuum hose connection at the injection pump is cracked. I did a partial jacked up fix on it. I replaced a small section of the hose too. Hopefully I will get some more free time this weekend. Thanks again.

    Help with wiring

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. This truck has been in my possession for about 8-10 years stored away in a shipping container. Of all the square bodies I have I am most excited about getting this one going. I have a few light issues to address and possibly a bad #2 alternator. I...

    Help with wiring

I managed to get the other 6 glow plugs out . The Leroy Diesel extractor pulled them all with success and no broken ones. Put the IP lid on from HillbillyWizard and she cranked over for 3 seconds and fired up.

    Help with wiring

10-4 Tomorrow I will start the process and hopefully I will get the glow plugs replaced. Are the Ac delco G60 plugs ok? Is there another brand or model that's less likely to swell?

    Help with wiring

#2 and #6 were the only ones that volunteered. I bought the extraction tool from Leroys. Didn't know it but he is just up the highway from me. Not looking forward to the removal. Hillbilly wizard has shipped me the IP. Hopefully there's an end in sight after this.

    Help with wiring

Well only 2 of the 8 glow plugs are willing to surrender. Looks like I need a removal tool. Any advice on which one is best?
