I'm trying to wrap my mind around what you mean in my application. When I removed the stock transmission there was no such rod CONNECTING the two. Maybe that is not how the M35a2 was done?
This is proving to be quite a challenge. I agree the width would be an issue as well as its much more transmission than I really need. But thus far I have been unable to find info on anything smaller that would fit and have an OD of .7-.6. I'm sure there is something out there. And if I really...
I looked up gear ratios for the fuller 6 speeds. The T0-955AL and ALL show an OD of 0.65. That seams pretty good to me but I think what I'll need to a list of models to look for. and hit up the wrecking yards here in Spokane.
Thanks Rusty! I almost sent you a message directly on this. Now with the fuller or the clark I'll still be able to use the differential so long as i move it back. I'd love to find a good rebuilt DT466.
I know this has been discussed but it always seems to get off track and I can't seem to find answers. Yes I've search a lot!
I'm starting a crew cab build and will be pushing the rear axles back at least 18". I was thinking about doing a brownie box but would prefer to not to. I was hoping to...
Spicer 6041? or is there a better option? Google isn't being much help haha. My goal is to be able to run as much as 75 mph and not risk blowing the motor. I may be looking at an LDS instead of the dt466.
so I guess a brownie box is the next option. I saw its bean done and worked well. I'm not all that concerned with articulation. There really isn't much call for off road in my life.
Just not sure what one to start looking for. Suggestions?
Oh I plan to do a full disc brake upgrade. As well as power steering and dampener. I am considering putting a DT 466 in. The current motor through a rod and so i got it for a song. I'm going to make it a crew cab and retain the third axle instead of bobbing it. I have a bobber already.
OK so the OD kit is no more and there are no known direct replacements for the M35 Trans. At this point is it safe to say that tire size is the only option to increase speed? I'm starting a new build and trying to plan it all out. Where I live 65-70 mph is best for the highways.
I have done a lot of research on here and still am not sure if this is ok. My temp is reading 210-215. When I got the rig and it was dead code it didn't read anything. Then when it warmed up out side I noticed it was a bit higher. But today it was in the 70s and the temp scares me. The rig had a...
Rustystud-
Ill search for post by them. But so far the only thing i found was a post were a guy put in MRAP seats and you yourself asked him where he got the channel for the weather stripping haha. I was just thinking someone would have a part number or a web site for them
I've been looking for post on this but can't find anything helpful. I am missing the metal slot that attaches to the the hard top on the passenger side. This is what hold the wearer strip in place for the window to close against.
Also my window lean out at the top. How can I correct this?
