M929 From New Castle DE to Upstate NY this weekend :)

She made it! 290 miles in 8 hrs...LOL It was slow going as it is lacking power pretty bad...there were hills that put her down to 30 MPH!!! I am REALLY hoping the new fuel filter that is on its way will fix it. Has anyone gotten a truck that had a real deep red tint to the fuel? I didn't...

2" wheel adapter... stock studs too short

I would really have to look again to see if the 1/2" would make a difference ... I do know my "custom" brake lines were very close to the tires.

2" wheel adapter... stock studs too short

I have been driving this rig w/ the spacers a little over 500 miles. I had the wheels off twice at low milage to check torque and inspect. No defects noted. For hwy use i would go the same route... i like the stock wheel look. Hope this helps the rest of you guys wanting to do this!

For those of you that have used these gen sets what is a no BS hourly/daily fuel useage going to be? I didn't see anything in the T.O. I just got a MEP-002A up and running and need to know how much fuel to keep on hand. Thanks

2" wheel adapter... stock studs too short

no, not ignoring you, I believe we are talking about the same thing! You posted a link that had a picture of a wheel spacer.....These wheel adapter/spacers are the cause of our issue... I am not going to recenter them because i don't like the way it looks and I plan on picking up a few more of...

2" wheel adapter... stock studs too short

Jim, I looked around a bit on the web to see what was out there after the seller told me the 8 turn "rule". ( I never take the word of the guy taking my $$) Apparently 8 full revolutions is the equivalent to 9/16". Meaning a longer stud doesnt really have any advantage... if those 8 turns of...

    1028 w/ 37" Humvee... how much lift?

I talked to ORD about it... I can't see spending 100 bucks on a disconnect kit that i shouldn't need to disconnect. I really just want to fab up some spacers that will effectively return it to "stock" placement or i will just remove it :)

    1028 w/ 37" Humvee... how much lift?

ALCON: the poll was tied! After alot of thought I gave up the credit card for the 3.5" superlift springs all the way around, procomp ecs9000 shocks and a skyjacker drop pitman arm. I ordered the u-bolt kits 1" longer than what the new springs called for so I can add zero rates if it does not...

Mine only looks that good after inner and outter rockers, new inner fenders and lots for repair work on door bottoms, floors, fenders etc... I have alot of time into this truck. The paint is growing on me... my 1028 may get camo pattern later on in its life but that is time consuming work to get...
