Thanks Guys, this is all good info. I will definitely be building a flasher box like the one in the attachment! Sounds like splitting the boots is the way to go there too. Bill, I agree, 3M 5200 is some tough stuff!

Thanks Frank, when you say you split your boots, you mean intentionally? and then repaired? I am seriously considering cutting mine and sewing them back together using waxed sail thread. I considered using super glue but not sure how long lived it would be.

Hi Guys,
Been awhile since posting, in the middle of restoring another M37, this time for someone else. The owner would like all of the bulbs to be LED. I know conventional flashers do not like LEDs, not enough resistance to trigger them. Will the solid state flasher work with LED turn...
Hi All,
I recently acquired an A-frame for my M37. I have a drawing from a TM, but not the actual TM. I am missing the back stay which is just a cable. The drawing I have is from the front showing the back stay running through the top frame and disappearing toward the rear. I can not tell...
Hi Mike,
Interesting specs from the TM. I just went through this. My winch had 9/16"x12 bolts in the front bracket to the winch castings. I know this for sure, as one was stripped. I had to buy a 9/16" Helicoil set to repair it! Lots of conflicting info in those TMs!

Hi Guys,
I may be buying an M416 trailer. It is a long way from home, and although it has "new" tires, it does not have a spare. Is there anything one could be expected to find in a junkyard that would fit? Not looking for a perfect match, just something that would bolt up and get me off the...
Thanks M109Guy,
I have that diagram, I am trying to locate a diagram from an early (1952) M37. I think it is mostly the same, but a few minor differences, mostly the turn signals.
Thanks again,
Tim
Hi Bill,
Thanks for that clarification. Yes, the light switch has the 2 plugs, but the harness was chewed off at the main plug, and the smaller one was capped off with a screw on cap that was stamped "BENDIX" I compared the pin markings to the pin markings on the relay box and they seemed to...
Hi Guys,
Has anyone got an early wiring diagram for an M37? My wiring harness was pretty well gone when I got the truck, and I noticed that there is a receptacle on the side of the headlight switch that would appear to be for turn signals. The receptacle was capped off with a screw on cap. I...
Hi John,
I have a stack of take-out NP-200s here in Vermont. Price is $225 each, plus actual shipping. Shipping would probably be pretty steep. Drop me an email if you are still looking for one. distinctiverestoration@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Tim
