Did you have any issues with the shroud mount spacings? When we were building the prototypes, we ended up looking at a number of OEM units for spacing, but there was always a variance between them. The final design that was used was a spacing average of the OEM units for the 2 interior mounts...
These are for ECV. Check the measurements on the drawings. ECV has a 31" core, regular Core is 24 1/4". Besides helping them engineer them, I have installed three of them already on M1152s and M1167s.
Champion finally has them listed on their website. You can either search for ECV or go directly here...

If anyone is interested, the longer manual drive pin can be used, but the thicker top part needs to be cut/ground down to make the thick part length match the internal receiver that spins depth.
Anyone know if the electronic speedo sending unit drive pin is available by itself? The only references I am seeing are the * part of the sending unit kit for $245.
I had looked at the manual cable drive pin, but it looks to be a bit larger on the sending unit end.
Can anyone confirm how...
IMHO... spend the time/money to get that system flushed correctly before throwing a bunch of parts at it. It's something that should be really done regardless on an unknown history government vehicle. What you see come out will also give you a good idea of the history of that unit. If it turns...
A few ways to find out. You can let the air out of a tire and see how it settles - or - you can weigh a wheel. If I remember correctly, a wheel with the large one-piece rubber runflat will be about 160 pounds, without just over 100 pounds - give or take. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am...
As a general rule, I make it a mandatory process to drain/replace all fluids and filters on every truck coming from the Government. You may be surprised on what you find - or not find in some cases. :ROFLMAO:
If you want to pinch some pennies, in my experience, Walmart fluids tend to work fine...
Champion is waiting for a shipment of the new ECV radiators. We did a final prototype check earlier this summer, and it was looking good - just need to wait for the supply chain to catch up.
So is your intent to build this to be a Type-6 Wildland Engine?
We had looked at doing something similar at one of the Volunteer Dept I put time in at. I had found a study that MI did about the good and bad that they found. Here is the link to it....

I purchased a new set of mirrors for the M1167 and when installing, the nut inside of the mirror liberated from the retaining mount, and I now have a really expensive, useless mirror that I can only use as a babby's rattle. aua
So, here is the question - I'm assuming there is no trick to get...
