Replaced the ether cylinder and it started right up, after jumping from the M1009. The batteries appear to be shot..I had to get the cylinder from AlbanCat, not cold enough usually around here for the heavy truck suppliers to stock it, or a couple of truck stops.
Doors are fabric and can be single handed. You can get a M1 in through the doors. The Finance Officer says the civy trailer goes inside this one or another one ;-)
. My lightweight equipment enclosure, new home for deuce work. End panels go on this week.
DieselBob -plenty of room for just the deuce. A little tighter if something else in there. You need a 54x40 footprint when you include the tie down ropes. Shelter is 24x32.
Got most of a "lightweight maintenance enclosure" up for the deuce. Only had 4 soldiers instead of the TM specified 12, so the end walls will go on later.
Picked up my oldest daughters stuff from her college before her wedding this fall. Filled up the deuce. Nothing like a deuce in a college town to get a few comments.
I got the hitch from TM America on this site. Excellent workmanship. Add a 12" receiver tube and weld it up. Kit comes with the two large plates and two spacers. Make sure you leave enough room from the top of the spacer to the frame. I clamped mine together first and measured to check the...
Busy day, mounted a receiver hitch, manually activated backup light, pulled the cable from the receiver to the cab for brakes, installed a Dynomax 21470 muffler from Summit Racing. Don't have a DB reading yet but the sound is definitely deeper and less harsh.Curing the paint right now - 10 min...
...and I followed up today driving it to work. Stopped at the scales just in case. The officer came out and asked if I had some time, he wanted to look at it. We had a nice chat, his dad had one in Puerto Rico and they used to drive it all over. Oh yeah, you don't have to stop at the scales with...
Finally got her on the road. I took my co-driver with me ;-) just a 20 mile run around the block but it was my first on-road outing. Taking it to work tomorrow just for fun (50 miles each way)
Made her earn her keep by pulling out a 8" Maple tree and pulling a cut 12" Poplar tree that was tangled in the canopy. Now I can get the deuce down the forest trail to the back of my house. (BTW-that's diameter, not height!). Still waiting on the collectors insurance so I can get her on the...
My "new to me" deuce arrived at my farm this weekend thanks to atankersdad. Getting tags this week so I get get on the road. One problem though, the smaller goats can stand up under the deuce. One more thing for the pre-drive checklist!
