M109 No start, what's this noob missing?

Okay I've pulled the plug off of the top of the head and when I turn on the electric fuel pump, fuel gushes out. I cranked it over while my father held a wooden dowel in the plunger hole and it moved up and down. We put the plug back in and tried to start the truck and still no fuel to the...

M109 No start, what's this noob missing?

Thank you, I read the article but I was afraid to crack open a pump. I was a Jr. truck mechanic a long time ago but I never got into pumps. Fortunately my BIL was a tech for Cummins years ago and said he'd take a look at it. I'll post what we find after he checks it out. Thanks everyone. I...

M109 No start, what's this noob missing?

I was told that it was running and then it sat for a year or two. The previous owner said just change the filters and drain all the old fuel and it will fire. He is someone I know so I can ask him questions if I need to.

M109 No start, what's this noob missing?

RE: Re: RE: M109 No start, what It still l wont fire. I loosened the injector lines, rebled the system(Just in case) and checked the fuel cutoff. The inside was clean and had a little motor oil it and the shut off returns just fine. I'm getting fuel back to the fuel return line on the pump to...

M109 No start, what's this noob missing?

Re: RE: M109 No start, what There was good pressure behind the fuel. It was squirting out of the bleeder.(Once I discovered the fuse, thank you search option and Sasquach Santas post.) I do need to replace the fuse with the proper type ( Is it really oil filled?). Where do I get one of...

M109 No start, what's this noob missing?

I've changed the fuel filters, found the blown fuse in the fuel pump and bled the fuel system. The truck cranks but won't fire. One of the boneheads who was helping sprayed ether in it and it fired. I told him stop that, I don't like fire in a can in my engines. I re-bled the system but it...
