This years rally will be March 27-29. I have booked the off road ranch again. I will post more details as I get them. I look forward to seeing everyone again this year.

For those that have not yet attended, here's some general information.

We camp at the Brazos Valley Off-Road Ranch ( http://www.brazosvalleyoffroadranch.com ). The gates will open Friday evening, March 27 (nofearnohope will let us know what time). Folks generally filter in all evening and sometimes late into the night. We'll get up Saturday morning, March 24, for a convoy to the Museum of the American G.I. ( http://americangimuseum.org/events/l...story-weekend/ ). We typically have a police escort for the convoy. After spending the morning at the museum, we'll return to camp mid-afternoon to enjoy the off-road ranch. This may include trail rides, mud pits, vehicle repairs, etc. There's usually a bonfire Saturday night with great company and, maybe, a few tall tales. Everyone usually departs for home Sunday morning.

Camp:
We dry camp in a field. That being said, there is a building at the camp site with bathrooms and electricity. You can buy lunch at the museum on Saturday. Otherwise, plan for and bring all of your meals and camping supplies.

Camping (including use of the off-road ranch) costs $10 per family per night. Please bring cash to pay nofearnohope.

Buy / Sell / Trade:
Feel free to bring anything you want to sell or trade to the off-road ranch. We'll probably have a separate "buy /sell / trade" thread as the event gets closer. To sell items at the museum, you must be a registered vendor. If that's something you want to do, please contact the museum directly ahead of time to register.

my days off have been approved so if all goes well I am planning on being there. I'm going to bring my 4x4 truck instead of my MV. The wife is preggo and can't handle riding in the M35A2 from Lubbock to central texas and back again.

Is the “ranch” any good for trails?
Satellite photos don’t show much?
never been but don’t want to be
underwhelmed?

I have not been to this event but it sounds like a good time. If my current plans for March don’t pan out then I will try to attend with my HMMWV.

There haven’t been a lot available to the big trucks when I’ve been there due to it being wet . I’m not sure what’s there/available when it’s dry, but I’ve seen quite a few dirt bikes and Jeeps out there. Lincoln may know better.

At past Rally events we have spent a good full day on the trails as a group. As mentioned already. What we can access really depends on the conditions of the trails and what is open.

I live in Tomball and hope to take part. There at least 3 other M939 series owners in Tomball. I'd like to meet any other military vehicle nuts in the area.
