Like Coveralls, I just drove my XM816 home from Camp Ripley as well (they sold at the same event). 2000 miles to AZ. I had no pace car. I drove it right at 56 mph. About 2200 rpm. Pulled the throttle out for hours at a time. Govenor was set right at 2200. My XM816 also drove like a new truck. (22,000 on the odometer) I changed engine oil, all filters, topped off all gear boxes and lubed what seemed like 100 zerk's. Just wish I had those nice Michelins on it.
