air system gladhands

Wanted to know if the gladhands on M35's are the same as on-highway trucks...such that you can go to local truck supply and get one? NAPA #?? Looking forward to tap into the air system for tire filling, maybe some impact usage.

Any help appreciated.

yep they are the same. i have a gladhand that has a female air fitting on it. I just hook it on the "red one" and plug in the hose. simple

Yes. They are the all the same. There are different colors and handle styles. But they all fit.

You want the 'Emergency' type - which is red. Got mine from Sanel (sp?) auto parts. Was $8 and change.

gladhand air line thread sizes

I have found the gladhands all over the truckstops but all seem to have 1/2 inch line fittings i did pick up a premade air hose for 30 bucks with the smaller size line hole to fit standard air hoses. does anyone know where these are available at?? i could always just use an 1/2 "adapter for the air line fittings but would rather have the smaller size one without having to use an adapter

I used the universal colored gladhand ($3)with a 5" gal nipple w/reducing coupling($2) for the handle, with 25' hose ($1 and a quick coupling (extra i had) on the end.

i guess you get some leverage also with the pipe for attaching it to the air fitting.

I just got a brass reducing fitting for mine - forgot to mention it. Was less than a dollar at the same auto parts store I purchased the glad hand.

I needed more to grab ahold of, other than just the gladhand. Sometimes my hands don't work like they should.
