Country Boy Air Conditioning

So, on the Riley recovery, it got pretty hot driving across West OK and North TX, then an idea hit me.

I had a water bottle helping hold the driver's window open on my Deuce and figured if I put a full one there/loosened the cap a bit, the wind would blow a
'mist' of water back on me and viola! Air conditioning. :cookoo:

It worked. 90* and driving into the sun, but that mist helped tremendously! Long as you don' t mind the water splashing up on you and if you do, you're not the kind of person that drives a Deuce anyway.

It was even adjustable. Colder water = colder a/c temp, unscrew the cap more for 'high' fan..........simple but effective. Adapt and overcome.

Better than sweatin'. Worthy of a small 'field promotion' for a new guy?rofl

Cheers,
Cookeemann

I sprayed over the "happy face" on the sides and hit some of the rust so she's a little more comfortable with it in front of the house.[thumbzup]

Went to change the air filter today and it was new. Cool.

Swapping tires from the trailer to the Deuce and getting that one with the bolt in it fixed tomorrow. Finishing the pressure bleeder for the brakes and bleeding them too.

Picked the kids up at school today and that thing was a HIT! Even the teachers had a fit. My boy's teacher came out and hopped up on the step and said "I LOVE IT"! Lots of pointing and thumbs up. Neighbors are cool with it too........for now.

My neighbors got the slow break in. First it was a white M1008, then a yellow lime M715 that I painted back to green, then a red M715 joined the herd, the white M1008 got totaled. I sold the M715s and bought a green M1008, then a M1009, then a second M1009, then the deuce showed up and one of the M1009s left. I should have the hood ready for a five ton by now!
