Zipper sorta resisting being pushed in. So I stopped there.
Thanks
.
Yessir. I think you are good! Yeah, after a little while of being on the truck - and depending on where you leave the steering wheel (centered or hauled all the way one direction or the other) those boots will stretch out a little. No need to crawl under and and poke them back in place...

Good Deal! That definitely means that somebody has worked on the truck before. They apparently cared for the vehicle - and that is a good thing!

Thank You. I will update on Maiden Voyage after I check level of steering box. Dropped down side flap and should be ok to reach from there. She came with a Cab and heater.
Thanks

I have really never been part of a chat forum thing. I would like to mention the Surplus Yard that sold Me the Deuce. Is that OK ? I think they did a good Job Doing PM and getting Her ready : So Far So Good. Everything of Fluids and Zerk fittings clean and up to level new grease in Zerks. So Brake Reservoir needed fluid - gotta look after that anyway. They added a high snorkel intake. Did nice job. I don’t want or plan to go thru water but if I have to I have better chance of getting to other side. The post maintenance of that would be massive. But will have to be done.
Thanks

Look
Flood areas not far from me.
The fill square for steering box loosened. BUT the fill line 5/16-or 8 MM used the one that fit the best- but this square Will Not Loosen. It had WD40 on it all night and sprayed liquid Wrench on it let it soak in and Still FROZEN.
I then put wire down thru top filler hole put wire in easily 4-6 inches round steering inside:: NO Gear Oil on it. So I added round 6-8 ounces from a quart of 80-90w. Put wire in say 4 inches and oil is on wire sorta approximately where full line is there abouts.
Putting Plate in it and gonna take Her out.

Checked boot. Clamp on tight. Pushed boot back in with my fingers. I think OK. I need to go under and get boot back in by hand after operation. What do you think.
Thanks
Looks good to me. I’ve changed several of these. It’s always messy. I quit using rubber gloves (actually nitrile from HF) because they never last but a few minutes.

Operators manual is a help. But thanks to this Site I am able to view more in depth TMs
Brake Master Cylinder now at proper lever was down to half level in reservoir / now addressing the leak on the steering box and gonna add 00 grease after draining out gear oil that is leaking out the Pitman arm. With these two addressed I feel lot better to start driving her. Will start incremental trips after steering level checked and added 80-90 gearoil
00 grease arrives. Then changing to the 00
Thank You will post photos later
👍🏼🙏 🇺🇸
Thank You SMSgt

That’s the Good News /
Checked Her out and front right wheel leaking Brake Fluid. I Always have brake fluid with me along with a funnel and 3/4 wrench. Other tools also. But I know can’t go anywhere without those 3.
Any and All Help is Appreciated.
