It helps maintain a slight vacuum inside the engine and prevents oil leaks. Often the first sign of a CDR not working is a leaking rear-main seal.I was just asking what the CDR does in engine function why clean it can it be removed?

I bought some too... but I've noticed that the price has gone up at least $4 in the last few weeks. But when others are selling them for $50, I can't blame them!I just bought 2 on ebay from" wolfer-parts" .22$ each.He still has some available.

My wife said I should have just done the "buy it now" like she told me to.I got 4 'HMMVW' CDR valves from ebay for $44... shipped. THey have the same part number on them as the one that came on my 1009 from GL...
