Hey Guys,
(Posting for a friend) We noticed some...make that a lot...of oil coming from the input shaft on the front axle of my friends M35A2. We parked the truck and I was poking around. The input shaft seems to have quite a lot of up/down/front/back movement. Drained the oil, no "glitter" so the internals are probably okay.
I am unfamiliar with the design of the 2.5T Rockwells, is there a seal there, or just a bearing?
I could use some help with 1.) diagnosing what to replace/what went wrong and 2.) how to go about replacing these parts. Can the upper gears/shafts in the axle be accessed without removing the "chunk"?
Thanks for the help!
