Got stuck with commercial plates in ny, whats the weight of an 08?

All I can say is NY has WAY to many regulations! This is what happens when the Government State or Federal make to many use less LAWS! The ONLY reason they are doing this is to charge you MORE money period. Commercial plates! What a crock of S H I T ! Move somewhere else.

I weight an M1008 bear bones full of fuel with me 5800 lbs this was on cat scale here in mich.

I am going through the same issue myself and was planning on getting a topper for my '08. Now, thanks to this thread I have another option..
It's funny about these regulations because I always see pickups on the taconic with passenger plates and a tonneau cover on the bed; maybe they are just made of aluminum or something??
