Texas Frog Fest - May 27/28, 2017
nofearnohope sent me info on this event and asked that I pass it along...
On Sunday, May 28 at 12:00pm, there will be a "Mud It or Shut It" event in Chrystal Beach, Texas at the annual Texas Frog Fest.
How many of y'all would like to cover your MV in a fresh (and wet) coat of all natural brown paint? Don't worry, it won't harm your CARC base coat.

I hadn't heard of this event before nofearnohope mentioned it. According to the Texas Frog Fest website, the weekend long festival is a benefit for the Lone Survivor's Chrystal Beach retreat facility. There is more information here:

It would be great if SS'ers could attend, and I'm sure their MV's will be well received! Unfortunately, I have plans that week and can't attend. But it's something I will remember for next year!

Good question! I'm hungry! What are you thinking? Do you want to organize something in Brenham, or do you want to head this way? A meet in Brenham may draw some of the Austin or San Antonio folks too. I need to check the calendar and see when I have a free weekend coming up in May.

Alright, let's keep the meet and eat conversation going. But at the same time, I don't want to lose track of this event coming up in May.
The folks at Lone Survivor have been in contact with nofearnohope. They are really hoping to get some MV's down in Chrystal Beach the weekend of May 28. So who can make it?

I actually have plans to be down there on the beach that weekend at a friends bday. I am thrashing as money allows to get a few things done. I don't know that my week old truck will be presentable for something like that. But I may be able to do a few hours in the morning possibly. Have any other details on this?

Ahab - I actually have family in Paris, Tennessee. Last I was there (ages ago) they had a small replica of the Eiffel Tower. But I have no plans to drive my Deuce there for a meet and eat.

I'd be there, but we already had a family vacation planned. I told Lincoln about your post and he should reach out to you, if he hasn't already.

May 6th works for me! I'd like to go to the event on the 28th but that's a longggg drive in a deuce, I think if it were a convoy I'd feel better about it as it's 160 miles from me.
