Looks like the first aircraft set the marker for the drop by the DC-10. Do you know if that's what that was?
Yes. The first aircraft is called the lead plane. He will make multiple passes on the line for a "show me" to the tanker and pop smoke where he wants the start the retardent.

Good stuff! The part I liked best were those water "foot-prints" in the lake.

Noticed one shot with the tail-hook down too. Nice.
 
I did not know that HMX-1 had started to include the Osprey (MV-22B) into the flight group. I know Another Ahab like Osprey's.
It's different [for me] to see them in dark green, here they are all battleship gray.

Anyway, not sure if anyone posted this video in another thread, if so, [Mod's] feel free to move or delete it.

A body can forget the size of these things.

That flight deck is HUGE.

Maybe not to an avaiator, but to a pedestrian walking the thing; it's huge.
