Very nice, impressed! Are you planning on any versions with a fabric zippered rear window rather than plastic? Figure the plastic will wear quick, especially in the cold and fabric would keep eyes off. I'm running a review camera and no mirror so don't need the visibility.
One with a fabric rear section (can't call it a window, I guess) would be simple to do. If you are interested in one, please PM me and we'll sort it out. Vinyl is more expensive than nylon, and harder to get, so opaque rear section is fine with me.

Yes, the for sale post is here. I have a tan set ready to go. Green will take a week or so to be ready as I sold the one I had ready to TheCaptain last Sunday.

So couple ideas.. would you do one with out clear plastic window in back.. just canvas.. and so it will still open? also have you or would you do slight mods to your design? on the steel slantback they are slightly raised in the back and round over.. would you consider that type? thanks!

I can readily supply a soft back with the zippered center portion opaque, the material cost difference and time are negligible. It might even be a tad easier to sew, since the vinyl tries to stick to the metal plate of my sewing machine.

To make the soft slant back copy the steel one one in dimensions would be a 100% redesign of the frame and canvas. I suppose I could do it, but I’m not particularly interested in going through all that R&D again. The current design took months to get right.

As bulldogger said - I picked one up from him last weekend. It has been great - the interior stayed nice and dry during the rain this week, he did a fantastic job.

Now that the weather is a little better, I’ll take a couple of pictures and post them.

I just received a tan “softslant” from Bulldogger today. I unwrapped it to check out his handy work and was thoroughly impressed. It is innovative and affordable.

Unfortunately, before putting it on I need to change the camo paint job to desert tan, inside and out. I have a feeling I won’t be enjoying the new softslant until the end of summer.

Adult priorities suck.

By the way, the slantback cost is cheaper than a new rear curtain. If you need a new rear curtain, maybe bypassing that addition and adding this one instead would be a good choice.

Thanks Bulldogger!

You're quite welcome CS. Thank you for helping keep this thread alive. That is an interesting point about the rear curtain.

Sorry, you have to wait to use it. I look forward to seeing pictures when priorities permit.

For others: I am making more models now. Contact me to get to head of the line and to make sure the next color canvas I pull to cut is the color you need!

Glad I could provide some inspiration copterbill. A walking foot Consew, wow! I have machine envy. Though the green envy tint is close to OD green, so it's hard to tell which is which ;)
