Hi Guys,

I did the Doghead mod tonight, and now my M1009 starts, runs,
and drives just fine.

But while coming back from a test drive to see how well that worked.

All my lights inside and out went out unexpectedly..
(or it might of happened after hitting a speedbump here at home)

When I shut it off and restarted it, the only lights that did come on,
are the lights on the instrument panel that normally come on when
you start it.

I have checked all the fuses, and they all look fine,
most are fairly new anyway, since I replaced them months ago,
since they all looked very old.

What should I check first to get these working?

Thank you,

CJ

Hello 91,

I just re-checked that, and it did get knocked out when I hit that speedbump.

All is well with the lights now.

No further replies are needed.. Thank you.. Good night..

Hi 91,

I went out a little bit ago, to start it, and check out a few things.
Now the lights are gone again, as before, and no matter what I did
to the blackout switchs, the lights still do not come on.

What do you think? bad switches or the connections for all 3 switches
(headlight, blackout #1 & blackout #2) and the switches themselves
need a good cleaning?

Anyone else have any ideas??

It still starts & runs very well though after to Doghead mod.

Any help would be appreciated..

Thank you,

CJ

My 84 K30 had the lights go bye-bye. It ended up being the bulkhead connector. No other systems were affected SOOO I just ran a nice fused power direct to the switch.

Of course checking fuses, wiring, switches etc comes first.

Hi guys,
Ok, I crawled under my dash again, to check the fuses.
After looking at the fuse block diagram in the Tm's, and taking notes.

And replaced most of the fuses with brand new fuses,
especially since quite a few were the incorrect amps or whatever.

Now everything works just fine.. Thank God..

Thanks for the advice, Good night,

CJ

Blazer,

My horn does not work at all. I have to replace the parts under the button,
on the steering wheel due to age & rust.

But I know the horn itself works, because I went into it one day,
and tested it, but the button parts do not work..

Thanks, good night,

CJ
