Today I cut all the rust out and dryfit all my floor panels and side panels. Waiting for my welder to show up to get all metal work done and on to final body work.

Looks like all the typical rust spots. The hardes things in repairing the bodies on these is having a mig that is low enough that you don't blow holes in the metal while your trying to weld it back up. Looks like a straight forward project. Good luck and keep us posted.

Well, I got all the rust cut out of it this week. Welder friend shows up on Sun.I will take pics of that process.
NONE of the replacement panels fit so I had to cut & fabricate as I went along.
What started out as a complete resto has turned into a Motor pool resto.
It will be an enjoyable unit that i can drive offroad on weekends!
Also fits in the back of the Deuce!

Good luck to you . After looking at the pictures it really is in decent shape, not to say you don't have your work cut out for you but it should be a really cool build ............

It's been a bad week ,Lost my Father in law last wkend and I had to go in for an emergency Appendectimy on Tuesday.
Well we still got some stuff done!
Lets see we got the engine painted, finished up all the welding,Osphoed the entire vehicle plus all subsequent parts.
We will be priming all parts plus the body on Saturday. Taking Sunday off to go price a few Painting jobs, Gotta fund this baby some how!

A quick note: I want to thank Robert (HOT ROD) Baumlee -US NAVY SEABEES for the welding he has done on this project!
He's fresh back from the Sand box , HIS quote(this ain't nothing,Try welding and shooting at the same time!Thats when it gets dicey)
God bless you and your beautiful family! and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and sacrifices!!!!!!
Well let's hope for a better week #5 off to body shop and a coat of 383
