completely unrelated but this talk about gas trucks reminds me of a silly yet real small story from somewhere in uk..I found it in a 'free' scanned-online-for-archival older magazine that I can't recall the name of now
lorry was seemingly using a lot of gas so everyone (especially boss) agreed to send it off for a conversion .. it eventually came back some time later with a diesel engine in it instead .. and not too surprisingly it didn't take long before a particular car driver came to the company and yelled at them for wrecking his car!
if you can "read between the lines there" (or however that expression goes in your particular language) you know exactly where the real problem was, it wasn't a thirsty engine indeed!!
