Dryers are something you service, not replace.

There are newer/updated dryer assemblies available for prices that are very competitive with servicing the old one. Lots of our fellow SS members have them for sale.

Yup at this point cheaper to replace then rebuild.

The idea is to service them BEFORE they fail as part of regular maintenance and not have them fail while on the road.

At this point it's 20/20 hindsight for me. Going to move FORWARD and learn from my experience.

I rebuilt mine completely including the heater with my 20 years of parts connections. I spent way more than the current flood of surplus units. Not to mention the time to clean, sand, and rebuild plus r&r.

I wish the surplus had come out sooner.....
