One more IP question

Got the Engine to bump got my O-Rings in fine question is.
Is the control rod inside the IP That is controled by the engine shut down cable supposed to move back and forth freely or is it tight with no play?

Freely! When you push it back(like in "fuel off")position, it should spring back to the forward(fuel on) position when you let go.

Hey Gimpy
I am not talking the part that is attached to the cover that you remove to see the timming marks I am talking about the control arm in the IP the part with the e-clip on it mine is tight what would cause that any ideas?

I didnt torque the screws just snugged them down will lossen until unit moves freely then re wire.
