For the time and hassle it seems easier to just use real CARC, get the benefits of the modern WD CARC II UV protection so the paint lasts longer before it fades, and the protection that paint offers. Plus CARC sticks to CARC so if you have a half-decent base that saves an absolute ton of prep work, you just have to clean and rough up what you have and shoot over it. I shoot it with a HVLP gun in a non-professional environment (including outside) and I'm happy with the results. Last price I paid from SW was about $160 a gallon w/ epoxy min 4 gallons.

I agree with you I'm very sure that is the best way and provides the best results butt with the fact that I spent $ $102 even with my mistake LOL I think that for the money I would rather the ability to freshen up my paint but everything is just a preference and there is really no wrong way to do it I guess

the thing i've learned is it doesn't matter what the paint looks like when you do it, it matters what it looks like year or two later. that said if you did good prep i see no reason why it wouldn't hold up. and plus at those prices you can always keep repainting it. what does the navy say, when in doubt paint it, and if you can't paint it, grease it?

It also matters where you store or park the truck. If it sits outside all the time, the paint will weather and fade quicker than parked in a garage or barn.

You might be joking (can't tell) but the tent maintenance shelters can be pretty approachable cost-wise, if you have room to pitch one. Even a big tarp setup can do wonders, anything to keep the sun off. UV destroys everything. seats, leather, gaskets, paint...

that's the God's honest truth. City living basically expelled me to the country and frankly I'm liking it a lot more. I'm doubly cursed because of the HAM radio deal. You think people hate on MVs wait till you try to put up a HAM antenna in your yard.

It looks like you color matched the incredible hulk.

Here is the paint code for the Behr that I used and it was a perfect match. I know it to be perfect because my deuce sites beside my 5ton which was painted at RRAD in 2012. I'll never use anything but Behr again, even on my parade trucks. My M38 hood came out excellent in Behr 24087 too.

its at my buddy's shop and he covered the cab with one of my old m-105 covers. He said the yellow was to bright. It was keeping him up at night.

So me and the wife finished the camo. Inversed the colors and I like the outcome a little bit different lol.
