date of Mfg. 1967 ?
MFG # 0225-19931

So I have a similar question, I've only got these nubers on mine:

M109A2
Serial Number: 109394
NSN: 2320000771636
FSC: 2320

There's no year of manufacture or MFG on the data plate. What should I put on my SF97 request?

Is the 109394 stamped into the frame? If so, the truck was built in Lansing, MI (rather than South Bend, IN). Do you have the registration number (which should be painted on the inside of the doors and/or under the hood)? From the number, my I am reasonably certain that this truck was built by Reo in 1952. Does the truck have any of the signs of being repowered from gas to Multifuel {hole in floor for starter button, instrument panel stamped of plain flat sheet metal (no embossed rib around outer edges), squared inner surfaces of the front fender, one bolted motor mount?

Hope this helps,
David Doyle

David,

I'll check the frame, I'm guessing it does. I think it is a repower, there's a hole in the floor like you mentioned, the panel is flat as well, I'll need to check the motor mounts to confirm for a fact. Here's other pictures, about mid way down of mine:

The van part was built in Lima, the engine is a White, so this may make alot of sense. I didn't know these were so old! The data plates in the truck seem that they were replaced at some point. So if it was built in '52 what model was it then?

Based on those photos, I'd say your truck is definately a 1952 Reo that at some point has been repowered with a Multifuel engine and an overdrive transmission.

Best wishes,
David

David,

Thanks for your help! I've got most of my information now for my SF97, what is my complete VIN based on those numbers? Is there something else I need?

Dave,
The truck listed above (0230-10304) is a 1967 Kaiser-Jeep. I'd confirm that number by looking at the frame stamping. The registration number listed above 4L467 is not correct - the number is too short (one digit missing).

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
David
