Once your truck is outfitted for its normal operation just scale it on a truck scale to get your estimated tons for your bridge plate display

Follow the cmv Bridge formula regarding drive and steer axle weights.

When you hit 26,000 you get into CDL territory. It is in your best interest to keep the gross weight UNDER 26,000 pounds for licensing purposes! Unless you ALREADY have a CDL and plan on keeping it! Even then it can get expensive quickly.
Thanks I have a cdl and its an age old discussion on here about the weight not being a factor in a motorhome /camper as long as not in the commision of enterprise ie 50 to 60 thousand lb marathon /prevost motorhomes and the owner / driver only having a OPERATOR DL and regular civilian tags. Not to say you wont run across an LE that hasnt dug into the books on the subject .
