Did you stretch the frame or use a 814 chassis to build the truck on.
this one started life as a M820. moved the tandoms to the very rear of the frame, added a midship shaft and extended the fish plate frame. plus changed a few crossmembers for driveshaft clearance. then added the angle for the 5th wheel and ramps.

Ron,
currently running the 1100 r 24's Goodyear 286's
this is the 4th set of tires i have run. 1st the 1200 ndt then the 1600 zxl's then 1100 r 20 286's now 1200 r 24 286's. the rating i will have to look in the morning as i cant remember for sure other than all of the tires i have run are better than the stock 1200.s as far as weight and speed.

Dave, what is the height of the 1200r24s, I went to keep my 1200x20 ndt on the rear, but put GOOD steer tires so that limits my height on the front

Ron,
I dont want to guess so let me put a tape on them in the morning. it seems they are 5-6" taller than the 11 r 20. i will make certain and post up for you.
my next step is going with 22.5's all around. more options and better tires.
and tubeless. and that would be a big help for you guys in the southern heat.

Dave, Not sure which your useing ??? If your running 1200R,24.5, I think thay will be to high , If your useing 1100R24.5, I think thay will just be .1" low, that would work for me

currently running 1100 r 24. all around. these tires are taller than i expected them to be. next step for me is to go with tubeless tires and wheels. more choices and better tires. sorry for the typo above. that should have read 1100 r 24 not 1200 r 24.
