You brake and my M1009 stays in neutral.

After fixing the Gen 1 light and the infamous cable, we're back with a new incident in the revival of my M1009.

Today, my M1009 did this to me a couple of times.

When I'm driving in D and brake hard, when I accelerate again, the car doesn't move and acts as if it were in N.

I hit the brakes to select R, 2, 1, and accelerate, and it still doesn't move. I shift to 4x4H with the Np208, put it in D, and the car starts moving again.

If I brake normally, the car continues moving normally.

Do you have any idea what it could be?

NP208 has no leaks, is level, the oil color is normal, has 200 miles since the change.

TH400 has no leaks, is level, the oil color is normal, has 200 miles since the change.

It reads as if your transfer case might be the unit slipping out of gear and not your transmission.

They braking hard in 4x4 hi and 4x4 lo and see if the dame thing happens as what you described in 2wd hi. Hopefully it is just the transfer case linkage that needs adjustment and not the transfer case shift fork pads that have been known to fail.

What piece is it exactly, because when I translate it to Spanish I don't understand, do you know the reference?

Well, I just tried it and the same thing happens in 4x4. You brake and it stays in neutral. What exactly is wrong? Does anyone know?

Try checking the motor mounts and transmission mount to the cross member. Is the shifter for the transmission actually moving when it goes to neutral?

the gear lever from P R N D 2 1 moves up and down without problem, except for the P which scratches and does not let you put it in, having to turn off the car in N select 2hi or 4hi, in no208 and put it back in D to start moving

The transmission mounts are new and reinforced. I installed them 5 months ago. The engine mounts are in good condition and the engine doesn't wobble.

Your transmission shift linkage needs to be adjusted is how I read what you have written.

Under the driver side of the truck the all rod linkage is very visible. Loosen the adjuster, put the shift lever in the cab all the way into park, turn the linkage on the side of the transmission all the way to park and then tighten it back up again.

I did what you told me to do. I removed the linkage, moved the TH 400 to P, and went out to test drive the car. At 30 mph, you brake hard until the car stops. You accelerate to resume driving, and the car doesn't move. It's as if you were accelerating in P or N. It doesn't matter what you select with the gear shift: 1, 2, R, or D. The car won't move and will accelerate at idle, just like in P or N. However, it won't let you select P and will scratch.

If you select N, turn off the car, go to P with the vehicle off, and with the NP 208, select 4x4 H/L. Or if you were in 4x4, select 2H, start the car, and select any gear, the car will start moving.

It's a little strange to me. I'm lost.

I am lost as well. Sorry I am not a help.

Don't say that, we're all useful. You helped me understand what shift lankage was and how to adjust it.

Does anyone else have any idea what could be wrong?

I'm telling you, the car runs normally and has power; no gear slips, except when braking hard, as I explained above.
