I did not mean to say there was nothing on the outside of the turbo, just that there would not be the huge valve hanging off the side. Of course there would be the air solenoid and hose and mounting bracket. I said this because of confusion from other members about where was the wastegate.Internal wastegate turbos do tend to have some outward appearance. There has to be room in the turbine housing for the gate assembly and they generally have an external pressure actuator fed from the compressor side to operate the gate valve. The picture is a GTA3776 from a Navistar DT466.
