Trail ride starts at 0900, will travel aprox 10 miles on 2 lane black top and then about 20 miles on dirt roads and trails. Nothing that will hurt, scrape or get your truck stuck. We will have a support vehicle(923 with trailor) in the group. We will end the trail ride back at the rally .Bring your own food and water !
So far it looks like about 7-10 vehicles are up for the ride.

It will be Real Good if y’all are there!!
Thanks, that's very kind.

I have been going for 4 years and it gets bigger each year. It's not as big as the MVPA national or Aberdeen for people selling stuff. But its way more relaxed. Last year it was nice and warm during the day. I have been able to find good parts that I need each year.

If you get bored you can go visit the normal flea market there. On Sat they have a reenactment that is fun to watch. I like watching the kids reactions to the guns firing blanks and action.

Alan
Well, we won a crap ton of stuff at Eglin (clintogf should have bought a dually instead of her wimpy 2500 ) so we're trying to decide if we do a "hit and run" and grab our stuff at Eglin and head home, or do we turn it into a long weekend and come to the show. I'm self employed so I can do whatever I want but Dawn has to get 2 days off from work and she just got 2 days off last week for our epic Lockbourne, Ohio trip of death.

If we come, is it worth getting a room an extra night and doing Friday and Saturday?

Depends. Are you hunting parts, selling or socializing? There are good deals to have if you get there early on Friday. Then more folks drag stuff in on Sat. On Sat they have the reenactment. That's fun. Lots of folks to chat with about their vehicles. If you just want the experience Sat would do.

could be a couple of us from South Carolina there just to look. No MV's, no trade booths, just coming to browse and buy.
Mike,
Bring the MKT and cook!

Lindsay,

I'll be there. Bringing some excess Jeep wheels and NDT tires and what ever else I can find that's laying around and in the way. I hope to make the trail ride but don't know yet.

Looking for radios and related items for my USMC radio jeep. Need it all. If anyone has anything, PM me.

Bin there every year since it started and it gets better every year. This year they are doing the trail ride.
I would be there for the trail ride but as every year it is the same weekend as the Orlando Hamcation and I know a few of us (tow4) are torn between which one to go to and this year I get to meet up a few friends from years back at Orlando (before OD green iron for me) from out of town and out of state. Lindsaym151 any chance of changing the show dates for this event?
I live in Orlando and take my word for it, this is MUCH better! OHF got so sorry that the last three years that I went I didn't buy anything. Everybody is selling their good stuff on E-Greed and other on-line sites and only bring their trash to the hamfests any more. I quit going to OHF even before I started going to MVPA rally. They just weren't worth the price of admission any more! BTW $12 to get OHF this year IF you buy in advance! At the door I think is $14.

IMO, Yes! And if the wife isn't into MV shows there's a good flea market there too so she'll probably like that.

I guess our mix would be about 50/50 socializing and selling parts. We're gonna' have a bunch of deuce cargo cover kits and that's about it in terms of stuff to sell.

Are you picking up stuff at Eglin that you can peddle here or is that the Deuce covers? Don't have a deuce, :-( so don't know how much demand there is for covers but I'm sure that there's some. Swap meet at this show is usually very active!

Anyway, come on down! We'll be happy to meet you!

Yeah, I sold all the junk I took to the OHF last year. And just in case something doesn't sell, I park next to the dumpster on the last day so I don't have to take it home. I couldn't believe it, I was loading my cart to head to the dumpster and people were buying the stuff before I could get to the door. Give the people what they want I always say. [thumbzup]
I'm digging deep into my pile of cra--er good stuff so this year will be better than last.

In my never ending quest to fix up and restore the old GMC M211 / G749 Deuce, I am always looking for parts of most any kind on that truck.

So if anyone that's coming has any parts, bring them if you can. Alan
