GOVPLANET/USMC latest EUC times?

So I called GovPlanet today, and asked if different vehicles had different wait times, or went through different steps. They told me no (which judging from posts here and our friend jwade, that's not correct), so I asked to speak to the next person up, as I feel my EUC is taking longer than normal. I was connected to the "Escalation department" and he told me that it looks like I have about another two weeks. That would put it at the 60 business days that TSC has from their receipt of my EUC. Due to my schedule I can't call tomorrow, but Monday I will call and probably get a different answer. Until that time I'll just hurry up and wait...

its like de ja vu gunnlogi! I called yesterday and the first gal on the phone was appalled that I had been waiting since June. She used the exact phrase, “escalation department”. Sadly when I talked to the the lady there, she said they were handled in the order they were received! Obvious lie from our friends getting taking care of already. I told her this and she had the nerve to say she was not at liberty to discuss the process with me further. I asked for her supervisor or a point of contact but she refused to provide either. I then asked how long does one wait before I get a refund or something. She was happy to point out I could bail before the EUC comes back but they would be keeping 30% of the purchase price. Damn thieves and no further than I was yesterday

So, I called again today... Different person of course. She told me it takes about 10-12 weeks. I know my math isn't super strong, but, uh, we're past that (purchased September 18, EUC received by them September 19). She was sympathetic, and started venting about how she wished that the process made more sense, and that they need to brief the service reps in exactly how it works. She straight up told me that she doesn't understand it and that really the only thing I can do is keep calling and keep waiting.

It is amazing how everyone you talk to on the phone at govplanet gives you a different answer. I was really hoping to get a POC for the TSC/DLA to follow up on my own but they wouldn't give me that. I email govplanet at their EUC email address and customer service email address three times a week but never get a response back from either. They must be tired of me. I just do it as a way of keeping a paper trail. In all honesty, I wish they would just deny the EUC so I can get my money back after 7 months of waiting and find another truck elsewhere. What's most frustrating to me is having approved EUCs with govplanet already, and with govliquidation before them, and still being held up for over half a year. Thanks to SS for letting me vent ; )

In the good ole days(wasn't that good either) we (by we I mean my time as ops manager for GP) we had a designated GP customer service team that was specifically trained. As a cost savings move at one point they went back to a combined team. The theory was all of their other business segments shared one team. The biggest problem with that is the items they are selling is a completely different buyer base with a completely different set of problems.

Me euc cleared today. Sale was Dec 4th. Many euc' s over the years but nothing in the last couple. Most situations are hurry up and wait. This is wait and then hurry up.

Just figured I'd chime in with a "recent" purchase which required an EUC clearance. My last truck was bought in July of 2019. After multiple phone calls, months, more excuses (government has an additional 4 week backlog to advertised times), more phone calls, I received my EUC in the second week of December 2019.

FYI it is easier and takes less time to acquire a Federal Explosives License. As many of you know there is little to no customer service on the GL/GP auction services end.

Good luck with any purchase, just don't be in any hurry.

I spoke with three reps at GP today. The third was the first person I’ve spoke to who was willing to come clean-ish. He said that GP had just sent a huge list of names to the DLA who were waiting on EUCs to clear, and that my name was supposedly on the list. He also said they should have a response by noon next Thursday but did offer me a refund on my truck. It’s been 8 months so I will wait another week and see what happens : (

Finally got my EUC approved and the truck released!!! Only took 9 months. In all truth, I got the computer generated email from GP saying the EUC was submitted and the email stating it was approved within minutes of one another. I think someone at GP was sitting on them but I guess it really doesn’t matter.

I have it on good authority that a key figure on the IP/GP/Ritchie Bros side that oversees the EUC process is stepping down soon. This situation may not be getting better soon (hope I'm wrong).
