    Warner Robbins Ga. A2C's

Number 3 was a long drive last Saturday (40mph). Thought my tank was full after looking inside, (guage dead). Pulled into the Summit Racing feild after 30 miles. Turns out that the strainer was so plugged up that fuel was puddled in the neck. Put in some new fuel and tossed the strainer neck...

    TonWarner Robins GA

Tony at Warner Robins Air Base GA is a great asset and is the sole reason I will bid again on GL. Based on all the fact that GL gets my money early and I get my product late, good employees like Tony really make up for all the red tape. He rocks!!!!

    Warner Robbins Ga. A2C's

Got all 3 Dueces off of the base this week. EUC the first time is horrible. 40 days. Tony from GL at Warner Robins is a good guy. He had all 3 of my trucks staged and started before I got there. Drove 2 of them 200 miles with horrible garbage in the fuel tanks. Used an additive called Startron...

    JERRV Wheels

Once I pick them up I will probably only use 6 of them. One or 2 look new, the others who knows. They are at Redstone. Sorry about the pictures. Most likely testing photos.

    JERRV Wheels

Just picked up (12) JERRV wheels (joint eod rapid response vehicle) something like that. They are 20x10 10 bolt. I could not resist. The JERRV weighs weighs 32,000 pounds so the duece is no issue. The fun part begins with adapting them to the duece. I got them for $20 each so no issue currently...

    Warner Robbins Ga. A2C's

I wish they took just the batteries but they got the box and the connector cable. It happened Mon Tue or Weds this week. I was there Thursday last week and was ready to roll waiting on EUC. Would not be hard to figure out. I will be happy when I get them on my property.

If your trucks are still at WR, plan on buying batteries. Heartfelt thanks to whomever took 2 sets from my trucks in the past 7 days. Drove all the way back down to run them before we bring them up to Atlanta. Magically there are no batteries. They were on the end nearest the gate if that...

    M1's don't float

I was in Kitzingen. I remember all the lovely training areas mentioned. Miss it now. Hated it then. I actually got an M1 airborn once. Maybe 2 inches, but there was daylight.

    M1's don't float

We were not using scouts because our LT. was showing off the M1. Turned into a turkey shoot for the Germans. I did get to drive the Leopard later that week. Kind of similar to M60 but more fwd speeds. We were in Wilflecken if I remember correctly. Cleaning these things was great fun...

    M1's don't float

Yes, the could not recover until AM. If I remember we had to strap 2 tanks together for that one. No M88 was getting that one out. We were up against a platoon of Leopard 1's in the woodline. Miles gear going off all night. That was the only time we got whipped by the Leo 1's.

    M1's don't float

A little action photo from 1988 3rd ID 3-63 Armor. Good thing he had the driver's hatch closed. We were in formation at night and the entire platoon got stuck in formation. This guy found a bomb crater. That is not the standard muzzle plug.

    m35a2c clogged fuel system

2 of my 87's are still at WR and tanks are about 1/4 full of what seems to be gasoline gone bad. Most likely the Air Force boys were using gas when Diesel was $5 a gallon in 2008. From the paperwork in the trucks, they were inspected in late 08 or early 09. They probably used gas at the shop...

    Warner Robbins Ga. A2C's

Robins AFB Went down yesterday to see my trucks 6010, 6025 both 87's, looked fine. Nasty fuel in tanks. 6010 was missing batteries but luckily had a slave receptacle and it started. 6025 started on it's own. Nice maint. files in the cabs on 6010 and 6025. 6035 is a 1971 and it was the one...

    Bad fuel in tanks

Just got back from Warner Robins AFB. Of the 3 M35's I will be picking up, 2 of them have a nice turpentine small in the tanks and lots of rust and other white crud. Amazingly we were able to get all 3 running but my experience says to drain that fuel before we attempt the drive to Atlanta. I...
