    Illinois humvee title problem

Register it under the Historic MV plate. That was the only way to title one in IL as far as I knew. Some IL members might be able to help out more.

    Surge brakes

The only law in MA I can find regarding trailer brakes is they are mandatory for trailers over 10,000 pounds. Have a link to your information?

New Wisconsin show/rally Aug 12th, Central Wisconsin Military Show

I'll be arriving on Saturday morning nice and early to beat the 8am deadline. I hope it's a good show, but I'm not happy about being stuck from 8am to 6pm. That's a dang long time for a car show. And car shows with hundreds of cars let you come and go as you please, so I'm sure it's not a...

Mechanics or shops in Northern IL/WI border?

If you have the money, any large Chevy dealer that has done work on H1's can do it. I took mine to the Lake Geneva Chevy dealer, supplied them with the parts, and they installed them. They also went over the truck for me since the shop manger assigned a mechanic that was familiar with HMMWV's...

Anyone deal with "Advanced Vehicles Assembly Humvee" before?

They list two stores. One in Vassar, MI and one in Plainview, NY. Anyone near a store? I'm curious if they sell to general public and what their prices are.

    Humvee road trip reliability

I drive mine to Green Bay, WI and back - about 300 miles - every couple of months. I keep mine well maintained, follow PCMS, and have some extra fluids and a good toolkit. Never had any problems with mine!

    Bogert jack, storage location??

Mine is strapped down in the back. I don't think there was ever a designated location for it due to it's size.

M1009 no wait light, no GEN 2 light, no volts.

Thanks for the tips so far. Here is where I am at: I do have all the TM's for the M1009, and have started going through the electrical trouble shooting. Might take a while. It's also been raining, so electrical in the rain is always a bit difficult. I checked both batteries and they are...

Best one stop shop for bolts/lockwashers/fittings?

My Ace Hardware always has everything I need. I also have a Home Depot, Fastnel, and Lowes all within a 20 min drive, so I can usually get any fastner I need.

M1009 no wait light, no GEN 2 light, no volts.

Engine cranks, but won't start. I did check a few of the wiring threads and won't start threads but didn't know where to start. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

M1009 no wait light, no GEN 2 light, no volts.

Truck has been running great up till this morning. Turned key to get power to all the accessories. Wait light did not light. GEN 2 light did not come on. Volt indicator is at zero. GEN 1 light is on. If I turn the key, it tries to start, but I'm assuming the glow plugs are not warming...

New Wisconsin show/rally Aug 12th, Central Wisconsin Military Show

As long as I can still drive up my HMMWV to show, I'll be there. I brought it up in 2016 to Iola and had a great time. Now I just need to find a MV club in southern WI that's active.

    VIC-1 Intercom Troubleshooting Assistance

Just to update for future searchers: My AM-1780 was bad. Borrowed a known working VIC-1 system - 2 cables, 2 headsets, two intercom boxes, 1 master control box. Began replacing parts one at a time - starting with my control box. As soon as that was swapped out, my system worked fine.

    How to pull-start a HMMWV...

Watch the placement of his arm on the steering wheel. Notice the brake light is on - that means the switch is in the RUN position. He's using his elbow to flip the switch from RUN to START when he pulls the lock cable.
