I did not know that. My truck luckily still had the PTO on it when I got it. I guess it was a winch M817 truck because my PTO has front and rear outputs. I have the shaft and it should be good to go when I'm ready to start using the winch.

Well my winch installation continues. I have a new question. I'm getting ready to buy winch cable. I know this winch takes 280 ft of 5/8 cable. What I would like to know has anyone upgraded their winch or is it possible to put 3/4" cable on it? I know I wont fit 280 ft on the spool because it's...

WillWagner,just out of curiosity,what would "temps being way off from their companion cylinder" considered to be? I have checked my truck from time to time and notice some cylinders are 20-30 degrees cooler.Is that acceptable or signs of a problem?

It's not that my truck can't handle the many feet of snow we get each year,it's the fact that the amount of salt used on the roads here in western new york destroys vehicles. I cleaned the 1 1/2 feet of snow off the top and pulled back the tarp to start it up for awhile.

I found this page in the TM for you. I see you already removed the fuel pump as in step 5 (A) of testing. Does the engine turn over now? Just kidding,sorry for your loss.

Does the ignition switch control engine shut down or the PCB box? My engine never shut down with the ignition since I owned it. I recently replaced my PCB with a used 939 series one for an intermittent no crank but it still won't shut down unless I flip the battery switch.
