Tapatalk had an update yesterday (12/24) that was giving me problems as well on several forums. Shutting down tapatalk and rebooting the phone (iphone 5 w/ 7.0.4 on att) reset something and all is working now without issue. You will likely have to re-login to your forums, but it should work...
Get the controller similar to what is shown in post #7, then reroute the hydraulic line to the controller along with adding the correct wiring to the system.
The controllers run about the same price as an axle (depending on location). In the long run, its an easier swap.
Good luck.
Thanks to all that took the time to do the upgrades. I know that it isn't an easy task to keep things updated and running smoothly. It'll take a little time for everyone to get used to the newer system, but, personally, I think everyone will continue to enjoy this site.
Thanks again for the...
I used some HD wheel bearing grease from the local supply house. They have disk or drum brake versions, IIRC, I use disk for everything; one less container to keep around.

The Fairbanks Newsminer ran an article yesterday concerning the Convoy layover in Delta Junction:
Fairbanks Daily News-Miner - Military vehicle convoy stops by Delta Junction to celebrate Alaska Highway
There's a few photos available. If I find more, I'll post 'em up. I didn't make it down...
I recently received a PDF of the proposed schedule of movement from the Alaska DOT. They've sent it out with the weekly "navigator" email to warn travelers.
Best of luck for everyone that is leaving Dawson on Saturday morning and making the drive. Looks like it will be a great run.
That sucks that it won't be high enough to keep your ground clearance. I can see it appearing to loose ground clearance when in all reality, you are loosing some approach angle clearance. The air dam is usually needing modification to accommodate the hitch, therefore, you are not really...
The front hitch should attach to the frame and be compatible with a brush guard attachment. I've yet to see one that won't allow both to be bolted to the framework.
Personally, I wouldn't tie it directly to the brush guard assembly. I'd get a front receiver hitch and put the winch on a removable plate. Another option is to rebuild the brush guard completely to come off a hitch assembly (much stronger IMHO).
The pictures show a side bolt and possibly a...
I operated the local club station with the g/f and a good handful of the club members. We were on 20m most of the time; but band conditions were horrible. My g/f made the only 3 HF voice contacts on Saturday.
I think our total count was 15 contacts; including digital, satellite and voice.
I opened the mini browser to a full size browser by clicking the maximize button in the upper right corner and the photos seemed to fit the screen just fine. I am running firefox though, maybe it's allowing me a different choice than IE or one of the other browsers.
If I was trying to use that...
Keko,
You described the Taylor / Top of the World Highway on the Alaska side of Whitehorse. It was the only way to get through to Whitehorse or the Ferry from Alaska until Saturday morning. The main portion of the ALCAN that was still closed until today gets you to Whitehorse from Ft. Nelson...
Per the most recent news article, the road is reopened. Single lanes of traffic and a small, 1km, detour with a bailey bridge to get across the river.
Construction ongoing; expect delays around Junction 37 at this time.
